Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A, also referred to as Lamborghini, is an Italian automaker based in the small township of Sant Agata Bolognese. The company was founded in 1963 by Ferruccio Lamborghini. It changed its ownership numerous times since then, and the most recent is becoming a subsidiary of a German car manufacturer Audi AG which is in turn a subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group in 1998. Lamborghini is recognised for its achievement in its sleek, exotic designs, and its cars that have become symbols of performance and wealth. Lamborghini is structured as part of the Lamborghini Group, consisting of Audi-owned holding company Lamborghini Holding S.p.A., which controls three separate companies: Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A., manufacturer of cars; Motori Marini Lamborghini S.p.A., maker of marine engines; and Lamborghini ArtiMarca S.p.A., the licensing and merchandising company. Lamborghini entered Indian market in 2006 and since then has been catering its super – rich and Elite Indian customers with its models like Gallardo, Gallardo Spyder, Superleggera and Murcielago.

During the period post World War II, Lamborghini went into business of building tractors out of leftover military hardware from the Italian Airforce war effort which became successful in the future. Lamborghini's tractor company, Lamborghini Trattori S.p.A., had become one of the largest agricultural equipment manufacturers in the country. He in fact owned a Ferrari but he was not happy with that car and considered Ferrari to be too noisy for roads. So, he aimed to build a better racecar. After few years Ferruccio Lamborghini established one car factory in the year 1963 and 1964 and he introduced his first 350 GT Lamborghini.

Lamborghini made its debut with its sports car with super high performance, which specifically target the millionaires. Lamborghini's famous models include Marzal, Bravo, and Athon, Portofino, Cala, the Raptor, and Lamborghini Pregunta. It also has a retro-styled Lamborghini Miura concept car in its range. The company is also involved in Formula One racing and motor sport event. The company also ventured itself into concept cars and the latest being the making of a luxury Sedan the Estoque which is the company's first four-door car. And Lamborghini Aventador will become the new flagship.
