Lexus was founded in 1989 is an automotive company manufactured by Japan automaker Toyota Motor corporation. Lexus vehicles are known for their luxury and is Japan's largest selling premium cars. Lexus has become globally popular and officially marketed in 70 countries of the world. Lexus has its head quarter at Toyota, Aichi in Japan and is tenth largest global brand in market. Lexus has its centres in Brussels, Belgium, Torrance and California. Lexus first vehicle was launched in 1989 which had sedan, coupe, convertible and SUV models. Later in 2005 Lexus manufactured hybrid version of RX crossover and some more additional models subsequently. Lexus had its manufacturing centres in Chubu and Kyushu regions and the production was consistent. In 2003 the first Lexus built outside Japan was in Ontario, Canada which produced RX330.

Lexus operations are also for design, engineering, manufacturing centres for division vehicles. The founder of Lexus Eiji Toyoda started a project for the production of world's best luxury car with a top secret project named F1 which introduced Lexus LS 400 increasing Toyota's product line by offreing longtime and new customers a new model. The project created successful models like Toyota Supra and Toyota Cressida which were the rear wheel vehicles with 7M-GE/7M-GTE inline-six engine. In 1960 models like Toyota Century had a domestic flagship and V8 powered model and Toyota crown had a inlined six engine premium sedan. In 1985 Toyota researchers visited America to known their focus group and market research on upper class American consumers and decided to manufacture a separate brand and sales channel and develop a new network of dealership in US market. Lexus in 1989 under the F1 project resulted in Lexus LS 400 which had a unique design with 4.0L V8 gasoline engine and rear wheel drive.

Lexus LS 400 had a well-appointed and ergonomic interior, engine performance, build quality, aerodynamics, fuel economy. Later in 1990 Lexus exported to United Kingdom, Switzerland, Canada and Australia. Lexus latest models are Sedans, SUVs, Convertible, Hybrids where Sedan with IS, ES, GS and LS models and SUVs with RX, GX, LX models and Hybrids with CT, HS, RX, GS and LS models. Lexus in 2010 went on adding hybrids and new model derivatives in North America and Asia and introduced new models in Geneve Auto Show which included CT 200h which is a four door hybrid hatchback to export all over the world.
