Tata Winger is based on the third-generation Renault Traffic van launched by Tata Motors an Indian automaker in 2007. Tata Winger comes in light commercial passenger segment based on a new platform. It has 13 passenger seats and comes with saloon space, spacious headroom and legroom, and wide luggage space. It has some unique features like magazine pockets, bottle holders, spot lamps and grab handles, front-facing seats, a music system depending on the variant. Tata Winger comes in six variants where the top-end luxury is a ten-seater having flat roof and air-condition, while the remaining five versions are 14 seaters. Tata Winger is powered with a modified version diesel engine offered on the Tata Sumo which comes with a turbo-charged, inter-cooler. The suspension of Tata Winger has MacPherson strut at the front and a beam axle with parabolic leaf springs at the rear.
